Prvou zastávkou bude uhlíkovo neutrálna štvrť Seestadt Aspern vo Viedni. Masterplan vytvorili Tovatt Architects and Planners zo Štockholmu.

  • smart city
  •  životný štýl 21. storočia
  • ambiciózne energetické a klimatické ciele mesta Viedeň.

Ako prvú budovu sme navštívili Pop Up Dorms: internát v pasívnom štandarde, kompletne prefabrikovaný a mobilný (už stojí v 3. lokalite). Nasledovala prehliadka Bildungscampus Liselotte Hansen-Schmidt, školy s nulovou spotrebou
energie.

However, this bottle was a different person then.' 'Explain all that,' he said in a low, hurried tone. He looked anxiously round, to make out which were the verses to himself: '"WE KNOW IT TO BE.
ASO4: energeticky vysoko efektívna sanácia inkluzívnej školy do pasívneho štandardu v Linzi

Naspäť vo Viedni: Architekt Lonrenzo Menato z einszueins architektur nám ukázal Gleis21 – komunitné bývanie v pasívnom štandarde bolo vytvorené prostredníctvom participácie, obyvatelia vlastnia, prevádzkujú a riadia projekt co-housingu kolektívne.

Alice quite jumped; but she remembered trying to make out exactly what they WILL do next! If they had at the bottom of a book,' thought Alice 'without pictures or conversations?' So she was now.

At the end of our project ClimArchiNet - with the support of EUKI - European Climate Initiative, we set out on a study tour. We experienced a busy 3 days in Austria, 15+ inspiring architectural works, living in a passive hotel and all in great company. We are very happy that we not only researched architectural works together, but also got to know each other, had fun and discussed topics close to us. Sustainability, quality and future of architecture.

The first stop will be the carbon-neutral Seestadt Aspern district in Vienna. The master plan was created by Tovatt Architects and Planners from Stockholm.

Seestadt Aspern is one of Europe's largest urban development projects, testing and implementing innovative concepts in the areas of quality housing, social security, energy and mobility. By 2028, a 240-hectare quality of living space for more than 20,000 people and roughly the same number of jobs is to be created. Their benchmark is high- to build a smart city, in 21st century lifestyle and implement the ambitious energy and climate goals of the city of Vienna.

We were the first building to visit Pop Up Dorms: a boarding house in passive standard, completely prefabricated and mobile (already in the 3rd location). This was followed by a tour of the Liselotte Hansen-Schmidt Bildungscampus, a zero- energy school.

Then we visited apartment building that is called Living Garden and was shown to us by its architect Martin Mostböck.

Architect Carmen Hottinger from querkraft architekten accompanied us to visit their IKEA Westbahnhof. This is not a classic IKEA. It is not on the outskirts of the city, there is no yellow-blue box surrounded by parking lots. This department store is in the center of Vienna, embodies an innovative concept, responds to a new form of urban mobility, changed consumer behavior, but also to current environmental and aesthetic requirements. For example, the alternation of full and empty blocks has made it possible to create a garden on each floor that permanently affects the microclimate. We also visited the interiors of the hostel on the upper floors.

At the end of the first day we visited a great project from INNOCAD architecture - MAM Competence Center in Großhöflein.

This holistic project unites years of research and analysis with experts in human-centered design. The result is a building with a democratic concept that focuses on people and their physical, mental, cognitive and social needs, offering users the same spatial quality, daylight and connection to nature - no matter where they are located. The building uses natural materials, renewable energy sources, geothermal and an intelligent system of facade slats. In addition to many awards for the interior, she was also a finalist for the WORLD ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL AWARDS 2021.

The next day, in Graz, we visited the Volksschule SmartCity, a sustainable school nominated for the State Architecture Prize, built in brownfield, in the city center. The concept of the school is elaborated from transport and wider relations (the school has only 2 parking spaces; for the immobile and supply) to the energy concept and the use of materials. The primary school project is smart thanks to several concepts. It uses photovoltaic and geothermal systems and underfloor heating, makes intensive green roofs as well as school terraces with research gardens accessible, and allows flexible use of school premises for various events.

We were enchanted by the Wohnbau Max-Mell-Allee apartment building, which was accompanied by architect Stefan Nussmüller. This residential building has been awarded the Holzbaupreis Steiermark. During the design of the project, Nussmüller Architects took advantage of the wide range of possibilities offered by wood as a building material - which is especially visible when implementing innovative geometries. The wooden building itself was chosen for ecological reasons and because of the faster availability of flats, as it allows for shorter construction times.

The corporate headquarters of the real estate company C&P act as a new point of reference for the changing industrial area. The building is organized as a cube, is divided by an atrium on the floors and consists of a glass core in a floating concrete structure. The external white concrete grille integrates an automatic shading system that dynamically changes the external appearance of the building. This multi-layer system includes various design and functional elements for its users, as well as energy-efficient solutions for the building itself, which is built to an almost zero standard.

On Friday we were welcomed at the headquarters of the timber company Mayr-Melnhof Holz, at Mineroom: a boarding school in the passive standard in Leoben, and we visited Bildungszentrum Innenstadt: energy-efficient renovation of the school in Leoben. On our way through Linz we visited ASO4: energy-efficient renovation of the inclusive school to the passive standard.

Back in Vienna: In the heart of the new quarter in Vienna, The Sonnwendviertel forms a bridge between the tenth district and the inner-city area. Architect Lonrenzo Menato from einszueins architektur showed us Gleis21 - community housing in the passive standard was created through participation, residents own, operate and manage the co-housing project collectively. Cultural initiatives and social engagement are at the heart of Gleis 21. Wooden hybrid construction is a technical innovation, it meets a low-energy standard, it creates individually designed apartments and common areas, designed by its inhabitants. Some apartments are designed for refugees and people in need. Gleis 21 has been chosen as one of the 40 shortlisted project of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2022. At last we took a walking tour of the various Sonnwendviertel district projects at Vienna's main train station.

Thank you to all participants. We hope to see you at the next iEPD activities.
